Dear parents,
Staff have had an extremely productive two days ensuring the school will be ready for full opening on Thursday and we can’t wait to welcome your children back tomorrow. Through discussing logistical arrangements with staff we have decided to make these tweaks to our uniform requirements. Sincere apologies for the late notice.
On the days that children have PE we would like children to wear their PE kit to school. This is to reduce the number of bags in cloakrooms and for younger children to save time spent changing. The PE kit needs to be plain (white T-shirt and black or blue shorts) with no logos. Please also send your children in with an additional pair of indoor shoes on these days. PE lessons will start next week.
Every day children will need their wellies and a pair of trainers to do The Daily Mile. Due to COVID-19 our cleaners will be focusing on cleaning indoor areas and we must minimise mud coming in to the school. Children will not be able to use their school / indoor shoes for the Daily Mile.
PE days:
Oak class: Thursday
Willow class: Wednesday & Friday
Chestnut class: Wednesday
Rowan class: Thursday & Friday
We have noticed over the last couple of days that classrooms can feel chilly with windows and doors open (where has the summer gone?!). We advise children to wear an extra layer of clothing until their school jumper and to bring a coat every day.
As always, please drop me an email if you have any queries or concerns.
Warm regards,
Ben Trevail
