Dear parents,
Like me, I am sure you will have just watched Boris Johnson’s announcement regarding a national lockdown starting from tomorrow. The implication is that Stonesfield Primary School will only be partially open from tomorrow – open to vulnerable pupils, and pupils whose parents are critical workers. All other children will access remote learning via Google Classroom. I will send out further information regarding remote learning tomorrow, but my priority now is to identify who will be in school tomorrow and the required level of staffing.
I will send a separate parentmail to parents of children deemed as vulnerable with an invite to continue face to face education.
If you are a critical worker then please email me at the earliest opportunity, if possible this evening. Please refer to the critical worker guidance and state your occupation. Please state which days you require face to face education for your child in order for you to work. Please only request your working days. I am hoping that the Government will publish further criteria regarding critical worker eligibility as it is currently unclear whether one parent who is a critical worker is sufficient. If there is a parent at home then I would encourage you to keep your child at home, for the safety of your family and our staff.
Many thanks for your understanding and I can only apologize for the short notice of this correspondence.
Warm regards and please look after yourselves and your families.
