Intent

At Stonesfield Primary School, we believe that physical education and sport play a vital role in the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of children. We are passionate about encouraging all our children to achieve their full potential by delivering high quality physical education and sport.

All physical education and activity is important in growing a child’s knowledge and understanding of themselves, thus enabling them to have a positive impact upon their own health and well-being. Our school values (courage, perseverance, honesty, respect, kindness and responsibility) underpin our ethos in developing confident individuals who have been encouraged and supported to be their sporting best.

Children at Stonesfield Primary School will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of sports and physical activities where effort and hard-work, as well as success, is celebrated.  They will also have the opportunity to represent the school at inter school, competitive, sporting events.
