Admissions

Parents interested in obtaining a place for their child at Stonesfield Primary School should contact the school and arrange a time to look around, meet the Headteacher and staff, and ask any questions they might have.

At Stonesfield, children begin school in the September after their 4th birthday. Parents of children starting school are invited to an induction meeting with the Headteacher and the class teacher makes a home visit to get to know the child and his/her parents before the child starts school.

Regular visits are made to Stonesfield Pre-School to read stories and establish relationships with the pre-school children. The children are invited to come to school for a few mornings prior to their start to ensure that they have the smoothest possible start to their primary education.

Full details of our admission arrangements, including selection and oversubscription criteria, statement of our current published admission number (PAN) and the school’s process for applications through the local authority can be found in our Admissions Policy.
